My Albany Experience-Gritsavage
To say that Albany is a social place is quite the understatement. I have more friends, associates and neighbors than I have ever had in my life or, quite frankly, would have ever thought possible. While Internet social networking has recently made great strides - face to face still matters. There are more doors opened from a career standpoint, it is a lot easier to get things done, and life is a lot more fun when people are able to on a regular basis casually and incidentally interact. Suburbia's built environment, by design, precludes this. Albany has perhaps not yet fully capitalized on its natural competitive advantage in the realm of social networking, but possibly the advent of virtual social networking has recently brought to light this distinguishably valuable attribute of our great city.
