Albany Festivals

Throughout the year there are a variety of festivals happening in Albany. From the Capital Pride Parade to the GLSEN Gala, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Capital Pride Parade & Festival

During the Capital Pride Parade & Festival, a large flag will be raised and there will be a wide array of performances. Some of the events will include drag shows, music, and theatrical performances. In addition, there will be an art showcase of LGBTA artisans. There will also be a family area with face painters. The event will run from noon to 5 p.m. This is the first festival since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Capital Pride Parade and Festival is a signature Capital Region event. The annual parade celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and raises awareness of social issues. The festival is also a benefit for the Pride Center of the Capital Region.

The Capital Pride Parade & Festival is one of the largest events of the year in the Northeast. With more than 25,000 attendees, this event attracts visitors from all over the region. It is a free event that offers food and beverage gardens, local music and performers, and information sessions.

Dad Fest

Located in the heart of downtown Albany, the Father’s Day celebration features a variety of activities, vendors and live music. This event is not to be missed. In addition to the classic car show, the city is also partnering with SEFCU to promote an educational, family-friendly event.

The city is also promoting the Dad Fest, an event devoted to the finer points of fatherhood. This free event takes place in the city’s venerable Washington Park and benefits the Henry Johnson Vet Hospital. This year’s festivities kick off on Father’s Day with a classic car show, live music and food and drink specials. The festivities are open to the public from 1 pm to 6 pm.

The event has a special ground rule for safety. Although the event is free to attend, security personnel will be on hand to confiscate anything that might endanger attendees.

TAP NY Craft Beer & Food Festival

Featuring over a hundred craft breweries, dozens of food vendors and hundreds of beers, the TAP NY Craft Beer & Food Festival is the largest beer and food festival in New York state. The event is held on the last weekend of April at Hunter Mountain Ski Resort in the Catskills.

The TAP NY Craft Beer & Food Festival awards three top prizes. One of the awards is the F.X. Matt Memorial Cup, which is a naming of a beer.

Another award is the Matthew Vassar Cup, which is a recognition for the best craft beer in the Hudson Valley. It has been awarded four times to Lake Placid Pub & Brewery.

The New York State Craft Brewers Festival, which takes place on Saturday, March 9 in Albany, will feature more than a hundred breweries from across the state. Several of the breweries that will be pouring have won gold, silver and bronze medals.

Albany Latin Festival Association

Founded in 1995, the Albany Latin Festival Association (ALFA) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Latin cultural events and activities in the Capital Region. The organization also engages in coalition building efforts. In addition, ALFA provides access to the local Hispanic community and promotes appreciation of multi-cultural diversity. In addition to promoting Latin cultural events, ALFA also provides scholarships for students in the Capital District.

Albany LATINFEST is a family-friendly festival that celebrates the Hispanic cultural heritage of the Capital Region. The event features musical performances, arts and crafts vendors, and a wide variety of food and beverages. The festival will feature several Hispanic artists, including Ritmo Caliente, Hip Hop Jibaro, and Bronte Roman. In addition to music, the festival will also feature dance performances, local vendors, and a Kid Zone. The Albany LATINFEST will be held on August 27 at Washington Park in Albany.

GLSEN Gala

GLSEN is an organization that is devoted to ensuring that all children have an equal chance to succeed in school. They will be holding a number of events throughout the month of June. In particular, they will be holding the GLSEN Gala at Albany festivals. During this event, they will be highlighting some of the best of Albany’s local businesses and organizations. They will also be presenting awards for the best LGBTQ organizations and programs in the area.

A similar event will be held in Washington DC. These are coordinated by the Washington Pride Center and In Our Own Voices. The event will be the largest LGBT festival in the nation. There will be a number of different events to attend including a free concert. There will also be a number of vendors and exhibitors to check out. There will also be an open air bazaar.
